Adult Open Studio sessions are 1 hour in length, allowing you to fit clay around your schedule. If you don’t finish in the 1st hour, add an hour. If you can’t do it all in one day, your item will be wrapped up tightly for you to come back within the week to finish your item. Projects can not be held more than one week, due to drying times of the clay and space availability to store your piece. This is a great option to sneak time in between hectic summer schedules with kids. Most projects can be finished within 1-2 hours, depending on the complexity of your chosen project.
You will have guided support during your session as needed. First time guests will receive a brief overview of building methods, joining methods and design options before your timed session begins, so allow for an additional 20 minutes at the end of your session to get your full hour of build time.
After your piece is finished, it will go through a slow dry process, and fired twice with your choice of glaze. Pick up times are approximately 3-4 weeks out.
